Experience the Best of Dundee’s Culinary Scene
Taking place on the 6th and 7th of July, the Dundee Food Festival is set to be a spectacular event, showcasing the city’s exceptional local produce and vibrant food and drink scene. Through a range of events, talks, and activities, we invite both locals and visitors to Eat, Drink, Play, and Think as they explore Dundee’s culinary delights.
Be the Friendly Face of the Festival
As a festival volunteer, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a memorable experience for our attendees. Stationed at one of our bustling event information tents at the Festival Hub in City Square or the Slessor Gardens Picnic Zone, you’ll be right in the thick of the action. Additionally, some volunteers will take on walkabout routes to engage with festival-goers throughout the city centre.
Engage in Exciting Fringe Events
Our festival extends beyond the main hubs, with fringe events scattered across Dundee at iconic locations such as the Keillor Centre, Bonar Hall, Verdant Works, The McManus, V&A Dundee, The Discovery, and the beautiful Waterfront area. Your Role as a Festival Volunteer
Your role will involve:
- Providing festival programme information and directing attendees to various activities.
- Assisting with event management tasks, such as putting up signage, and helping to dress the Festival Hub and Picnic Zone.
- Supporting performers by liaising with the Entertainment Manager.
- Ensuring positive engagement with festival-goers and assisting the Festival Management Team.
Important Dates
Mandatory Volunteer Induction: Wednesday, 26 June, from 5pm to 6pm (venue to be confirmed).
Festival Dates: Saturday, 6 July and Sunday, 7 July 2024.
Volunteer Shifts
Saturday, 6 July:
– Morning Shift: 9:30am – 2:30pm (5 hours)
– Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 7:00pm (5 hours)
Sunday, 7 July:
– Morning Shift: 10:30am – 2:30pm (4 hours)
– Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 6:00pm (4 hours)
