The organisers of this event have pledged to...

Eliminate Single-Use Plastic
Going The Extra Mile
Incorporate Seasonal Local Produce
Reduce Food Waste

We will offer seasonal local produce, where available, and indicate these where appropriate

We are passionate about supporting our local community and minimising our environmental impact. That’s why we prioritise sourcing ingredients directly from nearby farms and producers who share our commitment to sustainability.

For example:
Our delicious berries are from the fields of Angus and Fife, ensuring the freshest, most flavourful ingredients for our spirits.
The malt barley used to craft our vodkas is grown in Scotland, contributing to the unique character of each batch.
Our Scots Pine Gin features pine needles foraged sustainably from the surrounding area, capturing the essence of the Tayside landscape.
We partner with Aimers Coffee, a Dundee-based roaster and blender, to provide sustainably sourced and expertly crafted coffee that perfectly complements our spirits.
At the festival, our signage and promotional materials will proudly showcase these local partnerships and the seasonal ingredients we use, inviting customers to savour the true taste of Tayside.

We have a plan in place to reduce food waste

Minimising Waste at the Source: We are committed to minimising waste at every stage of our operation. This begins with careful production planning and monitoring to reduce byproducts and surplus ingredients.

Repurposing Byproducts: Whenever possible, we find innovative ways to repurpose byproducts from our distillation process. For example, our spent grain is recycled at a local anaerobic digestion plant to generate biogas in collaboration with a local farmer, turning waste into renewable energy.

Responsible Composting: Any unavoidable organic waste is composted, enriching the soil and supporting local ecosystems.

Events and Sampling: At events like the Dundee Food Festival, we prioritise sustainability. Our only food waste consists of biodegradable sample glasses, which we collect in dedicated bins and responsibly recycle.

This multi-faceted approach reflects our dedication to minimising our environmental impact and building a more sustainable future.

We will not use single-use plastic

Zero Single-Use Plastic Policy: We are proud to maintain a strict zero single-use plastic policy at our distillery, and we are extending this commitment to our participation in the Dundee Food Festival.

Sustainable Alternatives: Any disposable items we use, such as the sampling glasses at our stand, are made from biodegradable materials, minimising our environmental impact.

Eco-Friendly Packaging: We believe in sustainability from start to finish. That’s why our bottles and carrier bags are crafted from eco-friendly paper, further reducing our reliance on plastic.
