We will be showcasing Dundee’s largest community market garden with its fresh and nutritious produce grown by our volunteers! Stop by to get your dose of freshness, learn about our monthly programme and activities, play some games and make a Campy Growers’ flag!

The organisers of this event have pledged to...

Eliminate Single-Use Plastic
Going The Extra Mile
Incorporate Seasonal Local Produce
Reduce Food Waste

We will offer seasonal local produce, where available, and indicate these where appropriate

We will use organic produce grown by the volunteers in Camperdown park. The majority will be transported by electric bike – Plan to reduce food waste: we won’t produce any food waste and encourage people to take fresh vegetables and seeds to grow their own vegetables.

We have a plan in place to reduce food waste

We would like to have a table with fresh produce from the growing site. It will be free or suggested donation – Seed or seedling giveaway. We would like to have a section for seeds and/ or seedling – Games : guess the herbs, what’s in season, food mileages. Showing people how to use all parts of vegetables from the garden for cooking – Thanks to a partnership with Dundee Cycle Hub we will have an electric bike with trailer to showcase active travel and food mileage. Helping to reduce food waste- Make your Campy Growers Flags Creative station to make flags using recycled fabric and paint.

We will not use single-use plastic

Use of Local Produce, where available – Plan to reduce food waste, – No single-use plastic. We will use paper packaging or reusable plastic pots We will also showcase organic food growing and active travel.
